On September 16, Presbytery of the James presents Equipping the Saints, a training event for deacons, elders, and other church leaders. Receive education and support to enable your congregation to do creative Christ-centered ministry that is relevant and forward thinking.
Workshops will include:
- Officer training
- Selecting curriculum
- Creating policies to protect children and youth
- Church volunteers
- Serving as a treasurer
- Serving as a session clerk
The event is sponsored by the presbytery's new Nurture Team. This team's purpose is to plan training programs and classes that support and encourage congregational leadership.
The event begins at 10:00 and concludes at 2:30 p.m.
