BOP To Hold Info Sessions About Benefits Plan Changes

A message from Keenan Rodgers, Board of Pensions church consultant. This invitation was emailed to ministers enrolled in the current Pastor’s Participation plan on May 29.

The Board of Pensions has approved a new Benefits Plan structure, effective January 1, 2025. This represents a significant change for churches and pastors because the existing Benefits Plan has been in place for over 35 years. My colleagues and I are committed to helping churches prepare for the changes ahead and the new flexibility they present.

I will visit the Presbytery of the James soon and will host events to share details about the redesigned Benefits Plan and answer questions. Details about the events and a link to RSVP are below.

Event details (the same information will be shared at each session):

  • Session 1: Monday, June 17, 10:00-11:30am EDT
    Westminster Presbyterian Church
    400 Rugby Rd
    Charlottesville, VA 22903
  • Session 2: Monday, June 17, 4:00-5:30pm EDT
    New Hanover Presbyterian Church
    10058 Chamberlayne Rd
    Richmond, VA 23116

I will also attend the presbytery meeting on Tuesday, June 18 and will be available to speak with you and answer questions during breaks or after the meeting.

Please follow this link to RSVP and indicate if you plan to attend one of the sessions on June 17. If you have questions, I’m eager to assist. I hope you and other leaders from your church will join me for one of these events and look forward to seeing you there.

Grace and peace,
