More than 100 PW-POJ members and friends representing 41 congregations attended the 30th Spring Gathering on May 4, 2019. The day's mission offering of $2,567 was designated for Presbyterian Children's Home of The Highlands of Wytheville, Virginia. Billy Rice, executive director of the Children's Home, gave the gathering's keynote mission address. The day also included greetings from Churchwide, Synod, and Presbytery leaders; the annual business meeting; 30th anniversary celebration lunch with birthday cake; the 2018 In Memoriam necrology; and closing worship with Holy Communion. We are grateful to the River Road Presbyterian congregation and staff members for graciously welcoming everyone with such warm hospitality.
